The Uniformd Shop is a web application provided by Uniformd, a service provided by Elemental Concept 2016 Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Uniformd” or “we/us/our”).

 

At Uniformd, we are 100% committed to protecting your privacy and security. We appreciate and respect how important privacy is. For all Uniformd services, the data controller — the company that’s responsible for protecting your privacy— is Elemental Concept 2016 Limited.

Purchasers:

    We may collect anonymised non-personal information for troubleshooting and analytics.

    We will collect some limited information when you purchase via the platform. Information may include:

      • Telephone number (optional)

      • Payment details (for processing by payment provider, Stripe)

      • Student name and class/form (optional)

      • Dietary requirements (optional)

Schools/Associations:

    In addition to the school information we collect to deliver the services to you – name of school, school address, bank details and name / email addresses of nominated school admins – we may also collect your information when you communicate with us via phone, email, or contact forms etc.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide you with the services we advertise. Any personal information is only stored within the app or on our secure servers. Below is a summary of what we do with the information we obtain from you:

Schools/associations: Obtain your details to include school/association name, address, bank details and name/email addresses of the nominated Uniformd admins

Without this information we are unable to provide the services to you.
(School/association bank details are retained outside the platform in our secure servers.)



Purchasers: Request your personal details at point of purchase to include your name, email address and payment details.

Without this information we are unable to provide the services to you.

(Note that we do not retain any payment card details on the platform. These are managed by our 3rd-party provider, Stripe.)



Purchasers: Retain details of your purchase history to include items purchased, date of purchase and transaction value.

We are required to share the transaction information with the school/association, so that the orders can be fulfilled, and transactions reconciled with funds received. We also need to keep a record of transactions for our tax and compliance purposes.
(Your transaction history information is retained for 7 years for legal purposes.)


Monitor visitors to our site and analyse their behaviour.

To protect our site and to help make our service better.

We also anonymise and aggregate personal information (so that it does not identify you) and use it for purposes including testing our IT systems, research, data analysis, improving our site and app, and developing new products and services. 

Sharing your information

We do not, and will not, sell any of your personal data to any third party – including your name and email address; however, we share your data with the following categories of companies as an essential part of being able to provide our services to you:
– The school/association who will be responsible for fulfilling the purchase.
– The 3rd-party payment provider responsible for processing the payments, currently Stripe.

Your information and countries outside of the United Kingdom

Your data is securely held and processed by us in the United Kingdom. If you are in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or the rest of the world, this will involve transferring your data into the United Kingdom.

Recipients of your personal data may be located outside United Kingdom. You agree that we may transfer your personal data within the Elemental group, to our affiliates, subsidiaries and/or other authorised third parties (such as service providers e.g. cloud service providers, data processor, etc.) located outside of the United Kingdom, as long as the data is handled in accordance with this policy and all applicable laws. We will ensure recipients of your data are legally bound to provide a standard of protection for your personal data comparable to the protection afforded under the GDPR and/or the data protection laws of the relevant jurisdiction.

Keeping your data secure

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your data on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Keeping your personal information

We will hold on to your information for as long as we are required to keep it, to ensure we meet our legal requirements. We will only keep what we absolutely need to, and only to make sure we can meet our legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our Terms & Conditions.
