Free Christmas Activities – Teaching Resources

Twinkl offers a free trial download for various creative resources as well as printable worksheets ranging from EYFS to 10+. We particularly love the colouring resources and fun activities for younger children – perfect for colder days in the classroom when the kids are winding down ahead of the Christmas school holidays.

Bonus: if your children or pupils are interested in learning languages, there are plenty of resources here for learning about Christmas in other languages, such as French, Spanish and German. Joyeux Noel!

The BBC Teach website is a fantastic resource for teachers all year round (you may recall we mentioned them in our Remembrance Day resources article!) and has some excellent resources for teachers, including assembly ideas, songs and audiostories.

Free Christmas Primary Teaching Resources

SparkleBox offers fun and free learning resources, including role-play ideas, advent calendars, card templates and recipes. They even have printable formats for letters to Santa, helping children develop literacy and writing skills.

British Council

For children whose first language isn’t English or younger children starting to master their English vocabulary and writing skills, the British council has a number of free activities based on the Christmas and the words we use to describe it.
